The historic seaside village of Stanley is set at the base of the Nut - a monolith rising 152 m. from the ocean.
This unique village is the home of Ye Olde Chocolate Shoppe and The Swingin' Anchor Café/Breakfast Bar at Number 4 Church Street.
The chocolate shop stocks a huge range of Tasmanian made chocolate, fudge, truffles and boiled sweets as well as Tasmanian-made Valhalla ice-cream and Andy's award winning Gelato.
The café boasts an excellent menu of fine Tasmanian fare, including local scallops and prime local beef. Everything is house-made including our gourmet pies, beef burgers, sauces, jams, condiments, cakes, muffins and scones.
Our scallop pies - hand made with a mild curry base - are now described as the best in the State, and our seafood crepes are a flavour sensation.
The breakfast menu is available all day, and includes a great many choices including superb omelettes and eggs benedict.
We serve Grinders European Blend freshly ground coffee, old fashioned ice coffee and chocolates, milk shakes and spiders, and a range of freshly squeezed juices.
